tube power amplifier with RCA 245 globe tubes driver is a Western Electric 717A pentode (one per channel) on the last photo you may have a look the version with a 6SN7 driver sometimes the WE717 provides to much gain and the input has to be attenuated rectifiers is a early model 80 5U4G, WE274 etc. is also possible in my opinion the 80 sounds best transformers are from Hashimoto and Tamura coupling PIO caps from Duelund no bipolar caps are used! |
